The person behind the numbers

I'm Diego Krenz, a statistician and data analyst based in San Diego. I founded Krenz Analytics because I kept seeing the same problem: small and mid-sized businesses sitting on valuable data with no one on staff to make sense of it.

I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics — a program built on the "learn by doing" philosophy that shaped how I approach every project. From clinical trial validation at RisingStats to end-to-end consulting engagements with real clients during my senior capstone, I've spent years translating complex statistical findings into plain English that people can actually act on.

I work across R, Python, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI — whatever the problem calls for. But the tools are secondary. What I care about is getting to the insight that changes how a business thinks about its data.

When I'm not buried in a dataset, you'll find me at the gym, hiking, watching sports, or planning the next trip. I spent three months traveling across Europe last year.
